The following pages seek to contain an alphabetical reference to all breweries in the British Isles which existed in 1971 when Camra (The Campaign for Real Ale) was formed and those which have opened and/or closed since then.
The index contains some 2180 entries divided (approximately) between 690 operational breweries, 780 closed breweries, 40 planned future openings - shown with the name in blue, 640 cross references and 30 non brewing entries.
